I bought this light for my night dives and it does the job pretty well. The 17,000 lux is no joke! But I had a bit of trouble with the charging instructions, which could have been clearer. Still, it’s a solid product overall.

Bright Light for Deep Dives
I took the Scubapro NovaLight 850 on my recent dive trip and it performed excellently! The 17,000 lux brightness really illuminated the underwater world. Plus, the rugged aluminum body feels super durable, which is great since I dive at deeper than 1000ft.

Died After One Use
I was really looking forward to using the NovaLight 850, but it stopped working after just one dive. I double-checked the connections and everything seemed fine, but now I’m stuck with a dead light. Very disappointing for such a pricey item.

Not What I Expected
I had high hopes for this light, but I found it a bit lacking. The brightness is great, but it took a while to get it to work right. Plus, the light beam could be more focused. I guess I expected more from Scubapro.

Solid Light but Slightly Heavy
The NovaLight 850 is very bright and works well at depth. I appreciate the 8 beam angle for wide coverage. However, compared to my old flashlight, it feels a bit heavier, which took some getting used to while diving.
