Constructed out of galvanized steel, this 1.5” round opening pre-mounting plate is used to mount the 1.5” rayhil downlight
The plate includes mounting holes and tracks to satisfy any type of installation. Alignment notches on plate help align multiple plates. Plate also includes a pressure clip to secure driver to plate

I installed the RayHil new construction plate for my RAD15 recessed downlights last week and it fit perfectly. The build quality is solid and I appreciate how easy it was to mount. Definitely made my lighting project a lot smoother!

Good, but a little tricky to install
The RayHil plate works well with the RAD15 downlights, but I had some trouble getting it aligned just right. Once it was in place, though, it felt sturdy and looks great. Just be prepared for a bit of trial and error during install!

Not impressed with the durability
I was excited to use the RayHil plate for my recessed lights, but it actually bent during installation. The concept is great, but the material feels a bit flimsy to me. Not what I expected for a new construction item.
