Philips Linear Fluorescent 14-Watt T12 15-inch soft white light bulb is ideal for use in kitchens and bathrooms, or anywhere in your home where a soft white light is desired. All fluorescent lamps need a small amount of mercury to operate efficiently and Philips has been working hard to reduce the mercury levels. In 1995, Philips transformed the market by launching a line of linear fluorescent lamps featuring ALTO Lamp Technology. Philips pioneered this technology to do what's best for the environment, not just to pass a test. This technology led to some of the lowest mercury lamps in the industry and became widely recognized as the leading low-mercury solution for lighting. To further help reduce the environmental impact, Philips only uses recycled mercury in the lamps. Philips also reuses as much glass and Packaging materials as possible.
