The Nitecore NU43 is a new model from the NU series. The NU43 is powered by a built-in 18650 battery with a capacity of 3400 mAh. Improved charging electronics allow you to fully charge the battery via the USB-C charging port in just 2 hours. Furthermore, the Nitecore NU43 can be used while charging. For this purpose, there will soon be a matching accessory that can be attached to the headband. The case is made of metal and polycarbonate. This mixture results in the low weight - the NU43 is currently the lightest head lamp with 18650 battery. The 32 mm wide headband ensures a comfortable fit and optimal weight distribution. The built-in optical sensor reduces brightness suddenly as soon as it registers an obstacle in front of it. This prevents overheating due to unintentional switching on.

I really wanted to like the Nitecore NU43. It's bright and rechargeable, but the strap was difficult to adjust properly, making it a bit uncomfortable during longer use. It works fine for short tasks but could be better for extended wear.

Fantastic for my night photography
As a photographer, I love using the Nitecore NU43 for my night shoots. The red light mode helps a lot without ruining my night vision. It’s also nice that it's USB-C rechargeable; I can charge it conveniently with my other gear.

Good light but initial charge was weird
The Nitecore NU43 is bright and super handy for late-night outdoor work. However, the first charging took longer than expected. Once it was finally fully charged, the 130m beam range was impressive! Just a minor hiccup.

Great headlamp for camping trips!
I took this Nitecore NU43 headlamp on a recent camping trip and it did not disappoint. The 1400 lumens really lit up the trails for night hikes, and the red light feature is perfect for preserving night vision while stargazing. Super lightweight too!

Best headlamp I've owned!
This Nitecore headlamp is awesome! The 1400 lumens can light up a whole area and the fact that it’s lightweight makes it ideal for my daily runs at night. I can't believe I've waited this long to get one!
