DO NOT BYPASS THE CONTROL BOX: While this system connects directly to your home's standard 120V spa power line, the bulb itself is a 12V low-voltage unit. You MUST route the incoming 120V power through the included Smart Bulb Control Box first. Connecting the 12V bulb directly to a 120V source without using the control box transformer will instantly damage the LEDs.
Stable Connection Required: For optimal functionality via the smartphone app, ensure a reliable wireless connection reaches your outdoor control setup.

If you try to screw a 12V bulb into a 120V circuit without a transformer, you will instantly fry the internal LEDs. You must install the included Smart Bulb Control box between your power line and the fixture so its built-in transformer can properly step down the voltage.
Q: Do I need to buy a separate external transformer to make this system work? A: No. The system comes completely self-contained out of the box. The Smart Bulb Control System houses both the Wi-Fi smartphone controller and the mandatory step-down transformer components, so you do not need to buy any extra equipment.
