Leviton has expanded its line of ceiling lamp holders for closets and closed spaces to include an LED occupancy sensor version. The Leviton LED ceiling occupancy sensor lamp holder features an 8.7 watt LED module, making it the energy efficient alternative to incandescent bulbs which are being phased out. The LED ceiling occupancy sensor incorporates todays most wanted features and meets nfpa 70, nec section 410.16 c (1) requirements. Suitable for all areas of the home, a green LED indicator light blinks when motion is detected, automatically turning lights on. The light automatically turns off after 3 minutes when the room is vacated. It is easy to install with pigtail leads and knockout holes for multiple ceiling box configurations. Designed for indoor use only, the device is ideal for closets, workrooms, basements, storage areas, utility rooms and attics.

I installed this Leviton ceiling occupancy sensor lampholder in my hallway, and it's been fantastic! The 7W LED lights are bright enough for the space, and the white finish looks sleek against my ceiling. It automatically turns on when I walk in, which saves so much energy. No more worrying about leaving the lights on!

Mixed feelings about the installation
The Leviton 8-7W occupancy sensor was a bit tricky to set up. The instructions weren't super clear, and I had to watch a video to get it right. But once it was installed, it works perfectly, and the lights are nice and bright. Just wish the setup had been smoother!

Stopped working after a month
I really liked the idea of the Leviton occupancy sensor, but it stopped working after just a month of use. The light would just flicker and not turn on when I walked into the room. Very disappointed since it was easy to install and looked good. Now I need to find a replacement.
