The Fenix WF05E is an intrinsically safe flashlight certified by IECEx, ATEX, and SGS, making it safe for use in Zone 1 and 2 explosive gas environments and Zone 21 and 22 combustible dust areas — genuinely mission-critical certification for anyone working around hazardous materials. Operation is refreshingly simple: a head rotation switches between three output settings (10, 30, and 85 lumens) with no exposed switches or contacts that could pose an ignition risk.
Powered by two specialized AAA alkaline batteries (compatible with Energizer E92, Duracell MN2400, or Panasonic LR03XWA), the WF05E is IP68 rated, dust-proof, and submersible to 2 meters for up to 30 minutes. For technicians, inspectors, and anyone working in petrochemical, mining, or other explosive-risk environments, the WF05E delivers dependable, genuinely certified-safe illumination exactly when the job requires it.

The Fenix WF05E is a good flashlight and I appreciate the safety features, although I expected it to be a bit brighter considering it's rated at 300 lumens. It works well for close tasks, but it struggles a bit in larger spaces. Still, it’s reliable for work. Just keep that in mind!

Stopped working after a month
I had high hopes for the Fenix WF05E, but unfortunately, it stopped functioning after just a month of use. I loved the idea of an intrinsically safe flashlight, but something must’ve gone wrong. Very disappointed and not what I expected from this brand.
