The Fenix HM55R is a lightweight, high-performance headlamp built for camping, hiking, trail running, and outdoor adventures. Delivering up to 1200 lumens with a beam distance of 191 yards, it features both Spotlight mode with four brightness levels for long-distance visibility and Floodlight mode with three brightness levels for wide-area illumination. A Red Light mode helps preserve night vision and includes both constant and flashing settings for signaling. The built-in proximity sensor automatically reduces brightness when objects are detected nearby to prevent glare during close-range use. Weighing just 3.7 oz, the HM55R remains comfortable for extended wear and offers up to 141 hours of runtime on low mode. With IP68 waterproof protection and 2-meter impact resistance, it delivers reliable performance for outdoor activities, work, and everyday use.

The headlamp has great runtime and I love the USB charging. However, I found the instructions a bit confusing on switching between light modes. Once I figured it out, it worked just as expected!

Bright and Lightweight for Camping
I took the Fenix HM55R headlamp on our last camping trip, and I was really impressed by how bright it is at 1200 lumens. The spotlight and floodlight features are super handy for different tasks around the campsite. Plus, it's lightweight, which is a big plus for hiking!

Overall Good, But Bulky
I think the Fenix HM55R is a solid product with bright lighting options, but I find it a bit bulkier than I expected. It’s comfortable enough for short use, but I wouldn’t want to wear it for hours. Still a good headlamp!

Not as Durable as I Hoped
I liked the features of the Fenix HM55R, but unfortunately, it stopped working after a few weeks. I had high hopes for this headlamp, especially for its waterproof claims. It's a shame, but I’ll have to look for something else.
