The Fenix HL17R is a 500 lumen headlamp that seamlessly transforms from a headlamp to a handheld flashlight, built for people who want both utility and a little personality from their gear. Beyond the 500-lumen white light, vibrant atmospheric lighting effects make it perfect for camping, night walks, or creative workspaces where mood matters as much as brightness. At just 65 grams with a comfortable split headband, it's genuinely easy to forget you're wearing it, even for hours.
Gesture-sensing activation means you can operate the HL17R completely hands-free — wave and go — or use the simple single-handed interface when you'd rather have manual control. A back clip with a magnetic snap-on system allows quick-release and flexible mounting wherever light is needed. USB-C rechargeable with a built-in 1000mAh battery, it delivers up to 97 hours of runtime, and lockout mode prevents accidental activation whether you're on the trail, fixing gear, or handling an emergency. Rated IP66 waterproof/dustproof with 1-meter impact resistance, the HL17R brings genuine flexibility to a headlamp that refuses to be just one thing.

The Fenix HL17R is a solid headlamp with great brightness. However, I found it a bit confusing to switch between the color modes at first. I really like the design, but clearer instructions would have helped. Still, it's a decent light for the price.

Stopped working after a few uses
Disappointed with the Fenix HL17R. It worked great at first, but after only a few uses, it just stopped turning on. I liked the multicolor feature, but now I can't get it to work at all. Not what I expected.

Versatile headlamp for outdoor activities
I've taken this Fenix HL17R headlamp on multiple hikes, and it performs well! The ability to switch between colors is awesome for setting the mood at night. It's lightweight and comfortable to wear, but I wish the battery life was a bit longer.

Brilliant headlamp for camping trips
I bought the Fenix HL17R for our family camping trip, and it was a hit! The multicolor options are fun for the kids, and the brightness is impressive. Super handy as a headlamp and I love that it can be used as a flashlight too. Definitely a must-have!
