DescriptionThe Carson Optical DeskBrite 300 2x Aspheric COB LED Desk Top Magnifier with 5x Spot Lens features 4 super-bright COB LED lights with a diffusive cover. Light diffusers work to eliminate LED hot spots, blending and evenly distributing the light. COB LEDs are brighter than traditional LEDs, provide a greater uniformity of lights and consume less power. Its large 4.3 in. crystal-clear aspheric, acrylic lens provides a large viewing area for any hobby. Aspheric lens magnifiers allow for increased magnification and image clarity while greatly reducing edge to edge distortion. This desk lamp also has a flexible goose neck that allows you to position the magnifier where you need it. It uses a USB-C to US wall adapter with a 6 ft. cord or can be powered by using 3 AA batteries (not included). Its the ideal low vision reading aid for books, menus, magazines, newspapers, etc. Versatile hands-free magnifier for crafts, hobby, inspection, and tasks such as model building, soldering, jewelry design, needlepoint, sewing, quilting, coin and stamp collecting, and much more! Plus its backed by Carsons limited lifetime warranty!

The magnifier works well, but the lamp flickers a bit, which is annoying when I'm trying to read. The 2x magnification is nice, but I wish the 5x lens was more accessible. It’s still useful, just could be better.

Lamp Arrived Damaged
Unfortunately, my DeskBrite 300 arrived with a crack in the lamp shade. It works fine, but I was disappointed with the packaging since it didn’t seem secure enough. I hope the replacement arrives in better condition.
