With an overall height of 19-1/2 inches, the GARD-N-POST light fixture support is perfect for illuminating a walkway, backyard, garden, or anywhere else you need a little extra light, and/or an extra GFCI outlet or low voltage connection (phone, security, entertainment). The post's angle-cut bottom provides easy access to underground wiring.
Choose from one of Arlington's GARD-N-POST light fixtures (sold separately), or connect any outdoor light fixture (up to 25 pounds) using the 1/2- or 3/4-inch NPT threads. The post comes with an installed NPT metal reducing bushing.
Dual Openings for Back-to-Back Power
The Arlington GARD-N-POST has openings on both sides to set up back-to-back power. For added convenience, a low-voltage separator is included so you can install a power and a low-voltage outlet on either side of one post. The post also comes with a locknut with copper ground wire for fixture installation, two blank device plates with gaskets and screws, and a removable KO plate.
Sturdy, Long-Lasting Construction
The GARD-N-POST provides rigid support right out of the box with four built-in stabilizers and heavy-duty plastic construction. Plus, thanks to molded-in color, the finish won't chip or fade over time, increasing the life of the support. The post comes with a plug for the top hole, for good looks and protection when there isn't a light fixture installed.
Measurements
Overall, the GARD-N-POST, with stabilizers, measures 19-1/2 by 8 by 8 inches (H x W x D). The post itself measures just under 3-1/2 inches square and 19-1/2 inches tall. The finished height from ground level (up) varies depending upon how deep the post is buried and can be buried up to 1 inch below the access panel.

Arlington GP19B-1 19.5 Inch Garden Post Support for Outdoor Light Fixture. Arlington's Gard-N-Posts are the attractive, safe and easy way to install light fixtures and devices outdoors. Made of non-metallic, heavy-duty plastic, our damage-resistant Gard-N-Post holds up against abuse from lawn maintenance equipment. The colorant runs throughout the post, so there's no chipping or loss of color. Black 19 inch height. Arlington fittings are carefully inspected and our manufacturing process is designed to prevent the possibility of a defective product leaving our plant. In the event any of our products are found to be defective, we will replace them with new product free of charge. The time limit for this warranty is one year following the date of sale or one year after the date of installation, whichever is the earlier date. This warranty does not apply when the product is used for any purpose other than the intended use as described in the Arlington literature. This warranty does not apply when the product is used for any installation which would violate the national electrical code or any code which takes precedence in a particular jurisdiction. Labor is not included.
